A suspected drink driver has been arrested following a crash in Royal Wootton Bassett.
Emergency crews responded to reports of a car and lorry being involved in a road traffic collision on the A3102, at the junction with Stoneover Lane, this afternoon (Friday, 26 August).
It’s alleged the male driver of the car provided a non-evidential roadside breath test reading of 149 microgrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres. The legal limit is 35.
The 39-year-old, from Trowbridge, is also alleged to be disqualified from driving following a previous conviction for drink driving.
It’s understood the suspect was arrested on suspicion of drink driving, driving whilst disqualified and driving without insurance. He was taken to Gablecross custody.
Wiltshire Police confirmed that nobody was seriously hurt in the collision.
