The suspect son of a man found dead at his home in Trowbridge on Thursday morning has been bailed by police.
He was arrested in connection with the death of his dad, now named locally as 56-year-old Shaun Ryan, at the scene in Spinners Croft but later released on bail.
Neighbours told of how they heard shouting coming from the properly the night before, and said the father and son lived there together.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “Officers were called by the ambulance service to an address in Spinners Croft, Trowbridge, at approximately 5.20am yesterday morning (Dec 19) following a report of a death of a man in his 50s.
”The death is currently being treated as unexplained and as part of our initial enquiries, a man in his 20s was arrested in connection with the death.
”He has since been released on bail and a post mortem is due to take place today.”
