Hundreds of homes are currently without power in Trowbridge.
The fault started at around 5pm and isn’t expected to be fixed until after 10pm.
Southern Electric report that 740 postcode areas were affected.
At 6.50pm, Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks said: ” We are sorry for the continued power cut in some areas of Trowbridge.
“We have managed to restore the vast majority of those originally affected and our engineers continue to work hard to get the remaining areas back on.
“We aim to have you back on as soon as possible. If you are still off at 10pm then a further update will be posted [on Facebook].
One Trowbridge resident, who lives in a newly built home, told Wiltshire 999s that she hasn’t been affected but is aware that the whole road is without power.
