There are smokey scenes in Swindon’s Old Town this Saturday morning (16 October).

Three fire crews are currently (9am) tackling a blaze at a property in Newport Street, near the Steam Railway pub.

Smoke could be seen coming from a building, believed to print shop Minuteman Press.

The road is partially blocked near the junction for Hoopers Place.

A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “We currently have four crews in attendance at a fire in Newport Street, Swindon.

“The incident is under control but there are some traffic issues so please avoid the area if you can.”

More follows.
