Six fire crews battle major blaze involving terraced houses in Swindon

Six fire crews are currently in attendance of a major fire involving at least two houses in Swindon.

Emergency services were called to the terrace in Cedars Close near Beech Avenue, Pinehurst, at around 6.30pm.

Wiltshire 999s understands the first property was well alight on the arrival of the fire service. The blaze soon spread to an adjoining property via the loft.

South Western Ambulance Service had a single rapid response vehicle at the incident, but Wiltshire 999s can confirm that no one was injured in the blaze.

Fire appliances from Swindon, Stratton, Westlea, Cricklade and Royal Wootton Bassett are at the scene.
