Numerous sheep have reportedly been killed in a crash on the A350 in Wiltshire.
Police were called to reports of a road traffic collision on the major route near Westbury at around 12.15pm yesterday (Sunday, 26 January).
A pick-up truck towing a livestock trailer was involved in the incident, with the trailer – carrying sheep – flipping onto its roof.
A number of sheep within the vehicle are believed to have sustained serious injuries and died at the scene. The exact number of sheep involved is unknown.
Wiltshire Police confirmed that no humans were hurt in the crash.
The road was partially blocked for around two hours while the incident was dealt with.
