There are severe delays on the M4 westbound due to a serious lorry fire.
Emergency services were called to the scene near Chippenham at around 6.30am this morning (29 March).
The flames have been extinguished, but two lanes remain closed past the incident. The full closure was lifted at around 7am.
There are severe delays for motorists travelling between junctions 16 (Swindon) and junction 17 (Chippenham) due to the lane closures.
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “We currently dealing with a Lorry Fire on the M4 Westbound a short distance from Junction 17 at Chippenham.
“The road is currently blocked in both directions.
“Please allow extra time for your journey and find alternative routes.
