A seriously injured driver has been reported after a crash on the A360 near Devizes.

Emergency services, including Wiltshire and Bath Air ambulance, responded to reports of a three-vehicle road traffic collision at around 9pm last night (10 April).

The incident – which happened on the A360 at Freith, south of Potterne, – left the driver of a black Ford Mondeo with serious injuries.

They were treated by medics on scene, before being airlifted to Southmead Hospital in Bristol for further care.

Police say the Ford driver has been reported for the offence of driving without due care and attention, but the investigation is ongoing.

Wiltshire Police wants to hear from anyone who witnessed, or captured dashcam footage, of a red Mini Roadster Cooper SD travelling northbound or a black Ford Mondeo travelling southbound prior to the collision.

A force spokesperson said: “We are appealing for witnesses following a road traffic collision on the A360 in Freith at 9pm last night (10/04).

“Three vehicles were involved in the incident, which left one driver with serious injuries that required hospital treatment.

“The injured driver has been reported for careless driving and our investigation into the incident is ongoing.

Witnesses are asked to contact 101 quoting reference 54250044113.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance Charity said: “[We were] called to a road traffic collision near Devizes at 20:57.

“We attended in our helicopter, where our critical care team, including a doctor and paramedic, were able to treat the patient on scene.

“The patient was then airlifted to Southmead Hospital in Bristol.”
