A Salisbury man was killed in a two-vehicle crash near Southampton on Monday (6 March).
Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, alongside local emergency crews, were called to the scene on the A326 in Marchwood at around 7pm.
The horror collision took place some time between 6.50pm and 6.55pm on the Marchwood bypass – sparking a six-hour road closure.
It involved a pedestrian and two vehicles; a Volkswagon Transporter and a Suzuki Swift.
The pedestrian, a 68-year-old man from Salisbury, sadly died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specialist officers.
A spokesperson for Hampshire Police said: “Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision or anyone who may have seen someone waiting to cross the road at the location.
“Officers would also like to speak to anyone who may have been passing through the area between 6.45pm and 6.55pm who has a dashcam fitted to their vehicle.
