The New Road-located establishment, that serves Chinese cuisine, is serving one last ‘goodbye meal’ on the evening of 11 March.
Addressing their customers on social media, they posted: “We regret to announce that on 12th March 2017 Memory of Beijing Restaurant will be closing.”
They also thanked that customers saying: “We would like to say thank you to all of our customers for the many good years we have had.”
Talking to Wiltshire 999s tonight, the owner told us that they are closing as it is the end of their lease, and they have decided not the renew it.
Dozens of Memory of Beijing customers took to their Facebook page to express their sadness of the closure, which has shocked many.
Paul Copson wrote: “We are so sad to see you close down. We were with you from your opening night and literally 100’s of times since. You will really be missed and irreplaceable, your Portuguese tarts are a legend. Good luck and best wishes Paul, Bev, Meg & Sophie.”
