A runner has died after he was found collapsed in the Wiltshire countryside.
Emergency services were called to the incident in Quarry Hill, Box, at 12.30pm today (Monday).
A man, aged in his 60s, is understood to have fallen unresponsive while out running.
Despite the best efforts of members of the public and medics to revive him, he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Two ambulance crews and an operations officer attended, alongside a critical care team from Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance Charity in a rapid response vehicle.
Wiltshire Police confirmed that the man’s death is not believed to be suspicious.
“Our thoughts are with this next of kin at this incredibly difficult time”, a spokesperson said.
