A road has been closed while firefighters tackle a major blaze in Chippenham this morning.
Several fire crews – including two from Bath Fire Station – are attending the scene at a derelict house off the A4 Rowden Hill, which is understood to have started at around midnight.
Police shut the main road in both directions while emergency services worked at the incident. It reopened at around 5am.

Flames could be seen high in the air and above the trees behind Rowden Hill. It is clear the home is well alight, and likely to be completely destroyed by fire.
