A property in Swindon has been ‘closed’ by a court after a man was ‘found with a knife’.
Officers attended Affleck Close, Toothill, on Sunday (16 July) after reports of anti-social behaviour.
On searching a male at the location, he was arrested on suspicion of possession a bladed article in a public place.
Kieran Evers, 27, of Ferndale Road, has since been charged with the offence and has been bailed to attend Swindon Magistrates’ Court on 9 August.
An address in Affleck Close is now subject to a three-month partial closure order after officers from the Local Policing Tasking Team attended Swindon Magistrates’ Court yesterday (17 July) to obtain the order.
This follows concerns of anti-social behaviour at the address and means that nobody other than the tenant and one other person can be present at the address.
PC Hesketh from the Local Policing Tasking Team said: “This partial closure order will allow us to work in partnership with Swindon Borough Council housing department with the aim of reducing anti-social behaviour and the likelihood of further nuisance and disorder coming from that address.”
