Police are probing the assault of a youth with a claw hammer outside Sainsbury’s in Calne.
Officers raced to reports of a disorder at the supermarket in The Pippin at approximately 8.30pm on 6 January.
A youth was assaulted by a group of three youths, including one who was in possession of a claw hammer.
The victim, who has not yet been identified, is believed to have sustained an eye injury.
Wiltshire Police is now trying to identify three people they’d like to speak to in connection with the incident.
Sgt David Rooksby said: “This was a serious incident and it is fortunate that the victim is not believed to have been seriously injured. We will not tolerate violence of this nature within our community and our enquiries in relation to this disorder have been ongoing.
“We have obtained these CCTV images and we are appealing to the public for their help in identifying three individuals – we appreciate these are not especially clear images, but if you have any information at all, no matter how insignificant it may seem, please get in touch.”
