Motorists are being advised to avoid the A419 northbound between South Cerney and Cricklade.
Wiltshire Police say they, alongside the fire and ambulance service, are en-route to reports of a road traffic collision on the main road near Latton, which is thought to have happened at around 5.30pm.
Motorists are being told to ‘seek alternative routes where possible’.
The road is expected to reopen before 7pm.
A spokesperson for Highways England said: “Police confirm the road closure is for safe recovery of vehicles involved and it should be open within 30 minutes. We will keep you updated.”
