Police have dealt with numerous traffic offences at a ‘car meet’ in Swindon.
Officers responded to reports of anti-social behaviour on Hawksworth Trading Estate at around 7pm yesterday evening (Sunday, 3 September).
On arrival, they found a large number of people gathering with vehicles.
Officers are said to have engaged with the group and issued a number of traffic offence tickets – including for speeding. However, no arrest were made.
Police monitored the ‘meet’ for several hours to “ensure public safety and ensure disruption was kept to a minimum”, a force spokesperson said.
They added: “Wiltshire Police continue to engage with our partners around our response to disruptive car meets.”
