Police have been called after sheep escaped onto the A419 near Swindon again.
Officers are currently working to help rescue the animals after they entered the carriageway in the Cricklade area this morning (Wednesday).
The same thing happened last night (Tuesday 31 March) – with the road closed while a rescue operation was undertaken.
The route was shut in both directions for two hours, with members of the public roped into to assist in shepherding the sheep into a farmer’s trailer.
In a new statement, Wiltshire Police said: “Please be aware that traffic is being slowed on the A419 from Cricklade to the Latton sliproad – due to escaped sheep in the carriageway.
“Please avoid the area and expect delays.”
