A number of cannabis plants have been discovered in woodland near Swindon.

Police officers seized the plants from an area in Stanton Fitzwarren, a village near Stanton Park.

A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “Has anyone misplaced some rather smelly plants in the wooded area around Stanton Fitzwarren?

“We’ve left a note, but if you see this, we have taken them to Gablecross for safekeeping, please feel free to contact us via 101 and we can discuss your gardening skills and choice of plants.”
