Police are trying to identify a man who is in hospital with life-threatening injuries following a collision in Swindon this afternoon.
The man was struck by a car while out jogging along Marlborough Road shortly after 1pm.
He is currently at Great Western Hospital, but police officers have been unable to identify the casualty, who is fighting for his life.
Wiltshire Police has released a description of the man who is receiving critical care.
The injured person is described as a white male, thought to be aged 50-60 years old. He is balding and has a beard.
He was wearing a vest top and shorts. He appears to have no distinguishing tattoos or marks.
He was carrying a house key with him which may indicate that he lives a relatively short distance from the Marlborough Road area of Swindon.
Anyone who can help is asked to call 999 as a matter of urgency quoting log number 121 of today.
