Police descended on Salisbury Plain at the weekend, after a rave attracted 700 revellers.
Officers attended the unlicensed music event east of Netheravon on Sunday afternoon (25 August).
The National Police Air Service helicopter was deployed to assess the site – believed to be a farmer’s barn – from above at around 4.30pm.
Locals claim the thudding bass could be felt through the ground for miles around and sound heard in nearby villages overnight.
It’s thought officers asked the revellers to leave, but they refused – and carried on partying until Monday morning (26 August).
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police confirmed they attended the event, in which “approximately 700 people were thought to be taking part”.
They added: “Officers monitored the situation to minimise any disruption to the public, prioritise the safety of all involved and to gather evidence of any illegal activity.
“Fortunately, all attendees left the scene by the Monday morning and there were no further issues reported.”
