Police have stepped up patrols in East Wiltshire area after several incidents yesterday.

Officers have been patrolling beauty spots between Marlborough and Devizes today as they proactively work to tackle crime in the countryside.

Two vehicles had their windows smashed at beauty spots and police also received reports of people attempting to throw packages over the fences of Erlestoke Prison.

Officers visited a number of sites including White Horses and Diamond Jubilee Wood in Caen Hill.
