Around a dozen police officers were called in to search for a person spotted in a garden.
A 999 call to Wiltshire Police was made at just after 10pm on Friday night, reporting that a suspicious man had been seen in the garden of a private property in Swindon.
Officers raced to the scene and conducted a search of the garden, on Dudmore Road in Old Walcot, and the nearby area but failed to locate anyone.
Police vehicles remained in the area until 11pm.
