Police were called to reports of a man brandishing a large pole in Swindon last night.
The 999 crews responded to the incident on County Road and Manchester Road at approximately 9.20pm on Monday, 11 September.
A woman and her child were frightened by the man, as he waved the weapon around near them and shouted ‘where has he gone’. It’s believed he was looking for someone.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police confirmed they attended, and said: “Officers did a search of the area and door to door enquiries but did not find the man.”
