A police probe has been launched as lorries are regularly pelted with rocks on a Wiltshire route.

HGVs are being targeted on the A338 Tidworth Road in Collingbourne Ducis in the middle of the night.

Drivers have reported being hit with missiles between the hours of 1am and 4am on numerous occasions over the past few months.

“Rocks and other large items are being thrown at and causing damage to vehicles as they pass”, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said.

Adding: “This is extremely dangerous for road users and we are looking to the public for any information which may help our investigation.

“If you know who the involved individuals are, or have any information about this, please call 101 quoting 54240132324 or use the online reporting tool.”
