Police are appealing for information following an incident during which a primary school-age boy was approached by a driver in Swindon at the end of the school day.
The concerning incident took place in Mustang Way on Wednesday (29 September) at about 3.30pm when the youngster noticed what is described as a car similar to a silver VW Polo that was being driven by a man he did not know.
The driver stopped, wound down the window and attempted to speak to the child, who ran away.
PC Chloe Beattie said: “We are keen to identify the driver of the vehicle. It took place at a time when there were probably quite a few potential witnesses around.
“This was clearly a distressing incident for the boy – but it could simply have been a misunderstanding. If this could have been you, we would urge you to contact us so we can understand what took place. Equally, if anyone knows who this might have been, please contact us.”
