Police are investigating following the death of a young man in Highworth.
Emergency services were called to High Street at around 9.30am on Sunday (28 July).
A man, ahead in his 20s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
An investigation has been launched, with police treating his death as “unexplained”.
Forensics and detectives were spotted attending the property on Sunday afternoon, as it was photographed and combed for evidence.
On social media, the man’s grandfather claimed his grandson had an asthma attack after complaining of breathing difficulties for several days. However, this has not been proven at this stage.
In a statement, Wiltshire Police said: “At approximately 9.30am today, officers were called to an address in Swindon Road, Highworth, following the death of a man in his 20s.
“His family has been informed and our thoughts are with them.
“The investigation is at the very early stages and the death is currently being treated as unexplained.
“Enquiries continue.”
