A police investigation has been launched following the discovery of a body in Newton Tony.
Emergency services were called to Cholderton Road at around 12.30pm on New Years Eve, 31 December, following the discovery of an unconscious male next to his bicycle.
Paramedics pronounced the 77-year-old man dead at the scene.
The road was closed in both directions for four hours while a collision investigation took place.
Anyone who witnesses the incident, or saw the male cycling on the road prior to his death, is asked to contact Wiltshire Police immediately by calling 101.
