Police are continuing to appeal for information after around 40 parked cars were damaged in Chippenham over the weekend.
The damage was caused during the early hours of Saturday morning (15 January) and affected cars in the Field View, Charter Road, Westmead Lane and Sandes Close areas, as well as the Louise Rayner Place Car Park.
Windscreen wipers and aerials were ripped from the vehicles.
Officers from the Chippenham Community Policing Team are carrying our enquiries and are reviewing CCTV in the hope of identifying the offender or offenders.
The force is appealing for anyone with information, including any potential witnesses or any businesses or residents who have CCTV cameras or video doorbell footage, to come forward.
Inspector James Brain, from the local Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “I would like to reassure local residents that we are committed to identifying and bringing to justice the person or people responsible for randomly causing this damage.
“This type of mindless behaviour causes distress and financial hardship to the victims and will not be tolerated.”
