Wiltshire Police is investigating after a car collided with a garden wall in Swindon.
Emergency services were called to reports of a vehicle ploughing through a brick wall and hedge along Cheney Manor Road at around 8.30pm last night (21 September).
The vehicle, a small red car, ended up in the front garden of a house and was smoking considerably.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service were tasked with the incident, which was initially reported via 999 as a car fire.
Firefighters found that the vehicle was not ablaze on their arrival and assisted with scene safety before handed the incident over to the police.
The fire service said nobody was injured in the collision.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We were called to an incident on Vicarage Road at around 8.25pm last night, where a car had crashed into the wall of a house.
“Our enquiries remain ongoing”
Officers closed the road for a short time to allow for recovery work, reopening at around 10pm.
