Police in south Wiltshire say they are ‘not responding to less serious incidents’

Police in south Wiltshire say are no longer responding less serious calls.

The South Community Policing Team are using 4×4 vehicles to respond to emergency calls, but are no longer responding to less serious incidents as heavy snow continues to fall.

A spokesperson said: “South CPT are using 4×4 cars and responding to emergency calls only. Roads are becoming impassable with stuck vehicles on many roads.

“Please only drive if you have the correct vehicle, experience and need. Otherwise, please do everyone a favour and stay indoors. A chanced journey can risk lives in these conditions.”
