Police are hunting an e-scooter ride who fled the scene of a crash in Melksham.
Officers were called to a road traffic collision involving a bus and an e-scooter in Spa Road at around 5.40pm yesterday evening (3 May).
The e-scooter was destroyed in the incident, but the rider – who is suspected to have sustained injuries – made off and made no attempt to exchange details.
The bus also sustained damage and the e-scooter was “extensively damaged”.
Wiltshire Police is asking anyone with information about the collision to contact them – especially if they know who was riding the e-scooter at the time.
“We are carrying out enquiries and would ask anyone with information, including anyone who knows who the e-scooter rider was, to call 101, quoting reference 54220045233”, a spokesperson said.
Adding: “Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
