Police are hunting a black Audi which failed to stop after hitting a cyclist in Devizes.
Emergency services – including critical care medics from Wiltshire Air Ambulance – were called to the scene on the A361 Caen Hill near the junction for Poulshot at around 10.20pm last night.
The male casualty, aged in his 40s, was taken to hospital for treatment following the hit-and-run. His bicycle was suffered significant damage in the collision.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “It is reported that a black Audi was involved in the collision with the male cyclist, who is in his 40s, and failed to stop.
“The bike was left badly damaged and the cyclist was taken to Royal United Hospital but his injuries are not thought to be serious.”
“We are asking for anyone who may have seen the collision or has since seen a black Audi with significant damage, particularly to the wing mirror, to contact us on 101 and quote crime reference number 54200085679.”
