The police helicopter has been deployed as a suspect flees after a ‘chase’ in Wiltshire.
Officers boxed in a vehicle – a small black car – in Portway, Old Sarum at around 6pm today (Monday).
The driver is understood to have fled the scene and police are now urgently searching for them. It’s not clear if anyone else with in the car at this early stage.
There’s a large police presence in Portway, on the junction of Sherbourne Drive, as officers race to find the occupants. The road is partially blocked, with traffic building.
The National Police Air Service helicopter from Bournemouth is overhead.
