Police officers were called to a suspected burglary last night, only to discover a cannabis factory.
Wiltshire Police received a report of a man leaving the property, a four bed house in Whitworth Road, Pinehurst, via a rear window at around 7.40pm on Tuesday evening.
When officers arrived at the scene, the suspect male fled from them on foot.
On searching the house an 80-plant cannabis factory was discover inside, subsequently sparking a manhunt involving the police helicopter (National Police Air Support).
Despite a hour-long search both on the ground and from the air, the suspect wasn’t found.
SSE also attended to make the scene safe due to the complex nature of the electricity set up.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said that their investigation is ongoing.
