UPDATED: Police have closed an investigation into the death of a man found on a doorstep.
Three ambulances were sent to reports of a male in cardiac arrest outside an address in Affleck Close, Toothill, Swindon, at around 8am this morning (Thursday).
Paramedics declared the man, understood to be aged in his 50s, at the scene and concerns were raised about how he sustained his injuries.
Detectives and forensics were called in to ascertain how they believe he died – with the death later being ruled as non-suspicious.
A photograph taken by a local resident showed that at least seven police vehicles were in attendance alongside the ambulances earlier today.
In an updated statement, Wiltshire Police said: “Following our statement on the death of a man in Affleck Close, Toothill, Swindon, this morning (22/12), early indications suggest this was a sudden, non-suspicious death.
“We will now prepare a report for the coroner.
