A car collided through a garden fence in Trowbridge this afternoon (20 September).

Emergency services were called to the scene in Wyke Road at around 2pm following reports of the crash involving a Nissan with a P plate.

Wiltshire Police closed the road whilst emergency services worked at the incident, where the vehicle ploughed through a garden fence and into a shed attached to the side of a house.

A Wiltshire Police spokesman said: “At around 2.05pm today (20/09) we were called to an incident in Wyke Road, Trowbridge, where a vehicle had collided with a residential property.

“Officers attended to assist with a road closure, while the fire service dealt with the collision.

“Nobody is believed to have been injured but police remain at the scene at this time.”

Recovery work was underway at the scene at around 3.20pm, with only a single police car remaining outside the address.

A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “A crew from Trowbridge have attended a road traffic collision involving a car into the side of an end terraced property in Wyke Road.

“Crews assisted Police in making the scene and vehicle safe.”
