Police closed a Chippenham road after seven vehicles crashed in the snow.
Emergency services were called to a roundabout on the B4643, outside the Rowden Park Garden Village development, at around 7am today (Tuesday).
The road traffic collision involved seven vehicles, but nobody was seriously hurt.
According to a witness, the route was “like a sheet of ice” – causing multiple vehicles to crash into one another.
Police closed the stretch of road – which links the A350 Lackham Roundabout with the A4 Bath Road – for around three hours while the ice thawed and the damaged vehicles were recovered.
The A350 at Lacock was also blocked, as police attended a lorry – which had shed its load on the road.
In a warning post on social media, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We are dealing with five vehicle accidents due to the weather conditions this morning, please slow down and allow extra time for your journey.
“The A350 is busy at Lacock southbound due to a lorry shedding its load. Access to Chippenham from the Lackham roundabout is blocked.
“Please ensure your vehicle windows are clear and snow is removed from the roof of your vehicle.”
