Police have caught a driver doing a whopping 75mph on a busy Swindon route.
After concerns were raised by local residents, officers carried out speed checks on Thamesdown Drive on Tuesday (17 February).
PC Cook and PC Goode carried out the checks using a laser speed detector – with many vehicles caught speeding.
In the most serious case a driver was found to be doing 75mph, more than the legal limit for motorways. They were reported to court.
“This is completely unacceptable behaviour”, PC Cook said.
Adding: “Speeding is one of the fatal 5 offences that cause the most death and destruction on our roads.”
