Police were called after a van mounted railings on a roundabout in Amesbury.

The road traffic collision happened in Salisbury Road, at the junction with Smithfield Street, at around 8.20pm on Thursday (29 May).

A black Ford Transit Custom mounted railings separating a mini-roundabout and lay-by outside Hills Cycles and Fishing Tackle.

Wiltshire Police confirmed that nobody was injured in the incident, and only the single vehicle was involved.

The force said that officers did not make any arrests in connection with the crash.

The road was only partially obstructed while the van was recovered – and caused little to no delays for passing motorists.
