Police have launched an arson probe after a mattress was set on fire.

Fire crews were called to Lancashire Drive, in Chippenham, at approximately 9.30pm yesterday evening (16 January).

It’s believed a discarded mattress deliberately set on fire in a rear garden – causing damage to a shed and neighbouring fences.

Wiltshire Police is appealing to anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity in the area around this time.

Call 101 and quote crime reference number 54240005904.
