An alleyway in Swindon was cordoned off as a crime scene today after a man was assaulted.
The incident happened in the early hours of this morning near to Crossroads Surgery.
The Cricklade Road crime scene, opposite Clivey Parade, was in place until after midday as detectives and forensics attend as part of their investigation.
A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “We are investigating an incident where a male in his 30s received injuries to his face in an alleyway off Cricklade Road.
“Our enquiries are on-going to ascertain what happened and in the meantime we are appealing for witnesses – if anyone heard or saw anything suspicious in this area in the early hours of today (Mon 11 June) please contact Swindon CID on 101.”
