A 65-year-old suspect has been remanded in custody following a knife attack in Pewsey.
Mr Luciano Marenghi faces allegations of inflicting grievous bodily harm with intent and possessing a bladed article in a public place.
The defendant, of High Street, Pewsey, alleged stabbed a man aged in his 30s outside The Co-Operative Food – located a short distance from his home address.
The suspect was restrained by members of the public, who also provided first aid to the victim as emergency services raced to the scene.
Appearing at Swindon Magistrates’ Court today (Wednesday), he did not enter a plea and the case was sent to Swindon Crown Court. He was remanded in custody.
