A perverted step-dad from Corsham has been jailed after repeatedly sexually assaulting his wife’s teenage daughter.
Keir Guidotti moved into his new partner’s family home over a decade ago – helping to raise his step-daughter Chloe Songhurst from the age of seven.
When she became a teenager, he formed an unhealthy obsession with her. Between 1 September 2021 and 31 May 2022, he sexually assaulted her 13 times.
The 41-year-old touched his victim’s buttocks, thighs, side of her breast and the area just above her vagina – sometimes beneath clothing. He also kissed the top of her breasts.
Police also uncovered a folder of photographs of Chloe’s buttocks – while clothed – on his mobile phone, taken without her knowledge. Many showed her bending over.
Guidotti’s predatory behaviour and her mum’s lack of support over the abuse left Chloe hospitalised on several occasions, having attempted to take her own life.
She has bravely waived her right to anonymity so that Wiltshire 999s can report on the nature of Guidotti’s offending and hopes it will encourage others to speak up about abuse.

Chloe, who was aged 17 to 19 when the abuse took place, said: “He needed my affection, my attention and said that he loved me more than he should”.
Adding: “He would make comments like ‘I love you more than anything’, ‘you make me feel good’ and would complement my body over and over while touching me.
“He bought me underwear and made comments that suggested he would know and like what underwear I was wearing – even though it wasn’t on show.
“He would cuddle me every time he walked into a room, even it it were only last done ten minutes ago. I had to tell him I loved him after every text I sent, and I had to call him dad.”
Chloe, who is now aged 22, told of how it left her with depression, leading to multiple hospital admissions and persistent self harm.
“I would self harm all over my body as a way of escaping, because the people I thought would help didn’t… like my mum, who just told me to let him do what he wanted to keep the peace in the house.
“If I didn’t do what Keir wanted to my body, it would cause an argument between me, mum and Keir – which would leave me with all the blame and hate from the whole household.”
Guidotti denied the string crimes, putting Chloe through the ordeal of a trial at Winchester Crown Court on 30 June this year. The jury found him guilty of all offences on 4 July.
The defendant, of Pockeridge Road, Corsham, was jailed for 40 months on 5 September.
He must register as a sex offender indefinitely and alongside that, he must comply with a Sexual Harm Prevention Order. A life-long restraining order was also imposed.
