One person suffers ‘significant injuries’ in Melksham crash

One person has suffered ‘significant injuries’ in a crash in Melksham.

Emergency services were called a two-vehicle road traffic collision on the A365 Bath Road at around 2.30pm this afternoon (Monday).

The incident, which is understood to have involved a red Nissan Micra and red Vauxhall Astra, happened near the junction for Bowerhill Lane.

One person suffered serious injuries, believed to be life-threatening or life-changing. However, further details are yet to be confirmed by Wiltshire Police.

The Nissan appears to have substantial rear-end damage, while the Vauxhall appears to have front-end damage.

A full-scale forensic collision investigation is now underway, with the road expected to remain closed for around 12 hours.
