Aldi staff and the emergency services have been praised for their work trying to save a life of a customer in the Drove Road store earlier today.
At 3pm, 7 February, South Western Ambulance Service and Wiltshire Air Ambulance paramedics and a doctor battled to save the life of a person, thought to be a shopper.
Unfortunately, their life-saving attempts were unsuccessful.
The store closed for the rest of the afternoon and evening, but will reopen tomorrow.
Jamie Brewer praised the Aldi store’s staff and emergency services on Facebook.
He said: “R.I.P. to the person who passed away this afternoon in Aldi in Swindon. Staff and our emergency services did great job to help save their life. God bless you all.”
Aldi UK replied: “Thanks for posting, Jamie. We will be sure to pass your kind words on to the Swindon team. Thanks, Aldi UK Facebook Team.”
