A man has died after 999 crews battled to save their life in Swindon this evening (Thursday).
Emergency services were called to reports of an unresponsive casualty at the roadside in Prospect Place, Old Town, at around 6.30pm.
Police cordoned off the area as medics tried to revive the man, aged in his 50s. However, after around one hour, he was pronounced dead.
Two double-crewed ambulances, a Wiltshire Air Ambulance crew, an ambulance operations officer and numerous police units were in attendance.
The man was taken into the back of an ambulance, where their family – who were brought to the scene by a police officer – said their goodbyes.
There are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances surrounding the death and the road reopened to motorists and pedestrians at around 8.15pm.
