A pedestrian struck by a motorbike in Westbury has suffered serious injuries.
Emergency services were called to a road traffic collision in Station Road, at the railway bridge, shortly before 10pm on Saturday evening (10 January).
Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance were among a large 999 response to the incident, touching down near Westbury Skatepark off Oldfield Road.
Police closed the road, with numerous ambulances and a fire engine in attendance.
A pedestrian, a man aged in his 50s, was hit by a motorcycle – leaving him with serious injuries.
He was treated on scene before being airlifted to the Major Trauma Centre at Southmead Hospital in Bristol for urgent medical care.
The motorcyclist sustained minor injuries, it’s understood.
Wiltshire Police is asking witnesses to the collision to call 101, quoting reference number 54260003446.
