A patient has been rushed to hospital after a serious incident in a Wiltshire village.
The ambulance service was called to a medical emergency in Still Man Close in Holt, north of Trowbridge, shortly after 2pm today (Wednesday).
Wiltshire and Bath Air Ambulance was also deployed, with the charity’s critical care medics providing one person with urgent treatment.
The yellow and green helicopter touched down in a field near The Courts Garden, a National Trust property.
After the patient was stabilised, they were taken to the Royal United Hospital in Bath for further care by land ambulance – with the critical care medics assisting on board.
The incident is believed to have been a medical incident at a private address. Police were not in attendance.
South Western Ambulance Service confirmed that “one double-crewed land ambulance, an air ambulance, and an operations officer” were sent to the scene.
Adding that they “conveyed one patient by land ambulance to Royal United Hospital Bath”.
