An ‘old man’ is wanted by police after a child was bitten by a dog outside Tesco.
The incident happened outside the Express store on Harrier Place in Calne on 29 August.
At around 8.10am, a child was reportedly bitten on the leg by a dog tied up outside.
The child was taken to hospital for treatment, having sustained minor injuries.
Officers investigating the attack want to identify the owner – who is said to be an “older man”.
In a statement, a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: “Do you recognise this dog? We would like to trace the dog and speak to its owners following reports of a dog bite to a child’s leg.
“The owner is believed to be an older man.
“If you can help with our enquiries please contact us on 101 quoting reference number 54240101926.”
