Ofsted has suspended a childcare provider from operating following an investigation.
PGL Liddington, near Swindon, and four other PGL sites in England were visited by inspectors who discovered what have been labelled as “serious safeguarding issues”.
The activity centres provide residential breaks and activity holidays for children aged 7-17.
According to the i newspaper, Ofsted sources said an employee was found to be under the influence of Spice – the so-called zombie drug – at one of four sites.
The government watchdog confirmed they – alongside partner agencies – are investigating the conduct of some members of staff, including for drug misuse.
Other concerns related to environmental health concerns and health and safety issues.
Three other PGL sites also had their registrations suspended: Marchants Hill, Surrey, Osmington Bay, Dorset and Windmill Hill, East Sussex.
